This large, colourful mosaic bowl will liven up any room space and could be used for a multitude of purposes. I use mine as a fruit bowl, works perfectly.
This mosaic bowl is made using the Tessera technique in Bali, Indonesia and fairly traded, ensuring the artisans are paid a fair wage.
Mosaics have a long history, starting in Mesopotamia in the 3rd millennium BC. In antiquity, mosaics first were made of uncut pebbles of uniform size.
The Greeks, who elevated the pebble mosaic to an art of great refinement, also invented the so-called Tessera technique.
Size: diameter 30 cm.

Shared Earth aims:This beautiful vibrant rainbow bowl was bought as a present for a couple with a rainbow themed wedding. They loved it. The colours are glorious, it is well made and a good size. The bowl is sturdy and was packed very securely for delivery.
Hi Anne, I am delighted to hear the wedding couple love their bowl! I hope it brings rainbow happiness in their new life together! Wishing you all joy & happiness, Lisa
Great customer service.
The bowl was broken on delivery, I emailed to inform them and they sent another bowl immediately..no fuss, no quibble !!
Hi Nicola, So glad to hear Nikki sorted the problem promptly for you. We always want our customers to be happy! And great that you like your bowl. Lisa
When I bought this I found it hard to visualise what a 30cm diameter bowl would actually look like or hold. As you can see for the attached picture it takes a hefty amount of fruit: a couple of grapefruit, a couple of oranges, a bunch of bananas, a mango, limes, kiwis and satsumas. I had to restock just so I could take a decent photo! But it was worth it. :)
This bowl is solid, beautiful, great to touch and hold and I have to admit there is a joy having it brighten up my otherwise pretty boring kitchen.
I have no hesitation recommending giving this a five star recommendation. I would pay twice the price and still thought i had got a steal of a deal.
