This beautiful haven inspired the founder, Sarah, to create a pure and natural range of skin care products. Fabulous Frankincense Renewal Cream is a pure and natural moisturiser containing a range of fruit extracts to help firm and tone the skin:
The natural fatty acid content of passionfruit oil, rich in Vitamin C and antioxidants, provide skin plumping properties, resulting in younger-looking skin, boosting radiance and helping to even out skin texture and tone by regulating sebum production.
Fatty acids are deeply hydrating and help to lock in moisture. A high concentration of linoleic acid reduces inflammation and antioxidants fight skin damaging free-radicals (which can cause premature ageing).
High in active enzymes and vitamins A, C and E, fig extract promotes exfoliation, eliminates dead skin cells and helps to unclog pores, reducing occurrence of spots.
It acts as an emollient to soften, smooth and deeply nourish dry skin. Fabulous Frankincense Renewal Cream also contains the healing and nourishing components of frankincense (toning, rejuvenating, repairing, invigorating, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory healing, soothing, uplifting and calming properties with a woody scent) and myrrh (antiseptic, repairs, conditions, anti-ageing, aids focus, sweet/ woody scent).

Directions: After cleansing and toning, apply a small amount to face and neck, morning and evening.

Story
Founder's Story
Skinfood emerged following a particularly traumatic period in Sarah's life. Sarah had suffered a prolonged episode of extreme stress and trauma – including bereavements, family turmoil, injury and redundancy, followed by several months of unemployment. She recognised that she was stressed but just kept going until she began to notice physical symptoms manifest.
She had never had problems with her skin before but suddenly she had hormonal acne on her face. She realised then that she had to deal with the stress. She was diagnosed with clinical depression and went to a naturopath. Sarah had tried all sorts of products and remedies but nothing helped. She began to research how to rebalance the “chemical imbalance” that had been caused by the stress hormones.
Sarah discovered that the answer lay in the power of Nature- plants, fruits and vegetables and the vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and antibacterial compounds they contain.
Sarah realised not only the importance of a healthy diet and lifestyle but also how crucial it is to look after your skin. As your skin is the largest organ in your body what you put on it can be just as important as what you put in it, to support your body’s functions.
Sarah went on to train as a cosmetic scientist and launched Skinfood. It harnesses her passion for natural skincare. Living on the Isle of Man, a world Unesco Biosphere, Sarah also used her knowledge of local plants and their healing properties to inspire her to develop this unique range of pure skincare products.
