Jute is a sustainable plant that is grown in regions of India and Bangladesh in a four month period just prior to the rainy season. It is fast growing and uses land that would otherwise be dormant at that time so increasing revenue for the farmers. 

Jute is 100% bio-degradable and recyclable. The interesting thing about growing jute is that it hardly needs fertilizers and pesticides.

It is little wonder that this seemingly humble fibre is also known as the 'golden fibre'.
