Story

The fair trade jewellery and handicrafts bought from Indonesia are all village produced. One village will tend to specialize in a certain craft e.g. some concentrate on silver, others bead work, others wood carving or bamboo work.

The villagers are continually producing new designs to add to their collections.

Our supplier supports the development of their craft by paying a fair price to enable the artisans to source new materials and tools. He personally visits the small family businesses and maintains regular contact.

Simple but attractive

I gave this as a little gift to my son and he won't take it off. Fully adjustable with simple but effectively placed knots that let the two cords slide up and down.

He loves it and I have strong memory associations triggered whenever I catch sight of it: warm balmy days on far off beaches, palm trees swaying, surf crashing gently on the shore and quite possibly a cocktail of some description with beads of condensation running down the glass. I am not even sure I have been to that beach, but hey...we can dream, especially hearing the rain pound outside at the end of October.
