Flamingos

Flamingos are considered a vulnerable species due to several factors, including habitat loss, hunting, and pollution. These distinctive birds are primarily found in Africa, Asia, and South America and rely heavily on their wetland habitats for survival. Human activities such as agriculture and urbanisation have led to the destruction of wetland areas, leaving flamingoes with limited feeding and nesting grounds. Additionally, they are hunted for their meat and eggs, and pollution from human activities can affect their food sources and breeding patterns. Conservation efforts, including habitat restoration and protection, education and awareness programs, and regulation of hunting and pollution, are essential for the survival of these beautiful birds.
