Teak Flat Bowl -Leaf Shape

Handmade in Indonesia this stunning bowl is hand carved using the natural shape of the teak root for that particular shape the artisan is seeking. It stands to reason that no two bowls are alike. 

The shapes will be slightly different and the grain colouring of the wood most certainly so.

All trees have roots, but no two trees have the same root system, just as no two people have the same fingerprints. 

A unique and gorgeous work of natural art that can either stand alone as an eye-catching display, or be used as a functional piece for fruit or anything else you can think of.

Being a hard wood you can feel the artisan's considerable effort that has gone into this Teak Bowl's creation.

Teak wood contains an oil that helps the wood to be water resistant and also protects the Teak from decay, insects and bacteria. Java (Indonesia) teak is considered by experts to be the best in the world.

Specifications

These bowls are unique so they may differ slightly from the images. However, all are beautiful. You won't be disappointed.

Dimensions: Approximately 32 cm long and 1.2 Kg in weight.

Please note that this is not a deep bowl as it is made from the tree root. This is why I have named it a 'flat bowl'.
