Ingredients: FAR’s unique blend of coconut and natural soy wax mixed with premium phthalate and paraben free fragrance oil, cotton wick. Hand poured in FAR’s Hawkshaw studio into reusable apothecary inspired jars with recyclable aluminium lid. Presented simply in black tissue paper to eliminate packaging.

Please use a heat resistant mat to protect your surface when burning candles.
Suitable for vegans
For best results when lighting for the first time, allow the wax to melt to the edges of the container ensuring a consistent burn.
Important Safety Instructions: Never leave a burning candle unattended and keep well away from any flammable objects. Always trim the wick to 5 mm before each burn.
Recommended burn time is 3 hours per burn. Never allow the candle to burn right to the base of the jar – this could cause a potentially hazardous heat build-up in a localised region of the jar.

Why buy coconut and soy wax candles?
For many years we all happily burnt candles made from paraffin wax because there was little or no alternative. Paraffin wax is a man- made product, derived from petroleum – basically the sludge waste when crude oil is refined.
When burnt, paraffin wax candles release toxins into your home as well as a small amount of black soot which you have probably noticed up your living room wall.
Soy wax is fairly new to the candle market – it is a 100% natural wax made from the oil of soybeans and is a renewable resource.
Soy wax burns much slower than paraffin wax and has a beautiful scent throw too. We like to call it a clean burn as no nasties are released as it burns.
The coconut wax used is derived from coconut oil that goes through a process of hydrogenation. It does not smell of coconuts, it has a neutral, natural wax scent.
When FAR started out they considered making candles purely from coconut wax as they are known as a three- generation tree – the produce of one coconut tree will provide for three generations in its lifetime.
This makes it a truly renewable resource. But coconut wax has a very low melting point so candles made purely from coconut wax would just not work!
Nicole, the founder of FAR, wanted their candles to be 100% natural so they chose to blend the coconut wax with a harder, organic soy wax.
This is FAR’s own unique blend that not only gives a beautiful smooth finish, it burns evenly and cleanly – no nasties, no tunnelling, no wasted wax.
